TEDxNorthernQuarter: TEDx and Talks

TEDxNorthernQuarter: TEDx and Talks goes beyond the red dot to explore the people, ideas and stories that inspire meaningful change. Hosted by Andy Coley and Simran Whitham, each episode features candid conversations with TEDx speakers, organisers, creatives and changemakers. Together, they unpack not only the polished talks you see on stage, but the personal experiences, difficult questions and hard-won lessons behind them. From leadership, identity and creativity to technology, community and the future of how we live and work, TEDx and Talks makes big ideas human, practical and relevant. For curious minds, thoughtful leaders and anyone who believes that one idea - or one conversation - can make a difference. TEDxNorthernQuarter is an independently organised TEDx event. This podcast is independently produced and is not operated by TED.

Simran Whitham

Simran Whitham is the CEO of FORMAT Group, a community builder, speaker and co-organiser of TEDxNorthernQuarter. Much of his work centres on bringing people together, creating meaningful experiences and building communities where ideas, creativity and relationships can flourish.

As co-host of TEDx and Talks, Simran brings energy, curiosity and a strong community perspective to conversations with TEDx speakers, entrepreneurs, creatives, innovators and leaders. He is especially interested in the people behind the ideas — what drives them, the experiences that have shaped them and how their thinking can create a positive impact for others.

Alongside the podcast, Simran plays a central role in developing TEDxNorthernQuarter and its wider community, helping connect speakers, partners and audiences through conversations and experiences that continue beyond the TEDx stage.
